Can you hold a place before I apply?
No, we are not able to hold properties prior to receiving an application. You are welcome to contact our office at info@rvapm.com and we will be happy to help you with any questions regarding the status of your application. The property will be reserved for an approved applicant once the lease is signed and the deposit is paid in full. -
Do I pay first month’s rent and last month’s rent with my security deposit?

How old do you have to be to apply?
All persons (18 years or older) must complete an application. -
Is the deposit refundable?
Upon the termination of the lease,, the security deposit will be refunded less any outstanding lease charges and cleaning or damage charges. No refund of the security deposit will be made until the resident vacates the property. -
Who needs a cosigner?
A cosigner may be accepted for those applications where the applicant has insufficient income or absence of credit. All cosigners must be residents of the Commonwealth of Virginia and are required to complete an application. -
You have a property I want to rent. How do I apply?
We highly recommend to schedule a tour of the home you are interested in prior to submitting an application. Also, be sure to review the Application Process and Qualifications here. Once you are ready to apply, go to our website, www.rvapm.com, and search Homes for Rent. There you will be able to access photos and additional information on the homes we have for rent. You will also have the option to apply online. -
How do I pay rent?
Once you are a resident, you will have access to an online portal. Through your portal, you have the option to pay online via eCheck or credit/debit card. -
I want to get a pet. What do I do?
Contact your property manager to determine the pet policy for your home. Please review our pet policy here. -
I want to move out, but my roommate wants to stay. What do I do?
Contact your property manager to discuss this transition. -
My lease expiration is coming and I want to move out. What do I do?
RVA Property Management must be notified in writing of your intent to vacate the property. Refer to your lease for exact notice requirements. You may go to your online portal and click on “Give Move Out Notice” or email your property manager or our office at info@rvapm.com. Information about the move out process is available here. -
Who is responsible for paying for repairs & maintenance requests?
While we strive to ensure that all our properties are in excellent condition, occasionally maintenance or repair issues will arise while moving into or occupying your residence. Please notify us of any repairs, no matter how minor they may seem. Service requests can be submitted 24/7 through your online portal. The responsibility for the repair will be determined by the terms of your Lease. For repairs that are required due to resident negligence or accidents, the repair charges will be charged to the resident.
